Certified Residential Appraiser
Since performing his first appraisal in 1986, Greg has aquired over 10,000 hours of experience in all facets of Real Property appraising. His extensive history includes many unique buildings and homes as well as hundreds of family homes. As the Senior Appraiser as well as the Supervisory Appraiser, he reviews every appraisal that is completed by Oakcrest Appraisal Services. In performing his duties as Supervisory Appraiser, Greg is actively involved in the training and mentoring of trainees. To insure each trainee is a consumate professional, he accompanies the trainee to every inspection, bringing experience and guidance to every facet of the appraisal. Every appraisal that carries his signature as been inspected by Greg and has been reviewed to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
Trainee Appraiser
After completing basic educational requirements, an individual, wanting to be a Real Property Appraiser, must pass a state exam before he is allowed to appraise Real Property. After passing that exam, an appraiser must serve in a training environment for a minimum of two years, and gaining a minimum of 2,000 hours of hands on, supervised experience. During this time, the trainee must attend additional classroom courses and work in conjunction with and under the supervision of an experienced appraiser. Once the trainee has attained the minimum of 2,000 hours in not less than two years he may apply for and test to become a State Licensed
